Sunrise Over The Rio Grande

Sunrise Over The Rio Grande
9"x12" oil on Raymar panel   $250. SOLD

Artist Note
Finally, getting a painting done
and it took a breathtaking sunrise
to remind me that I could still grab
my paints while the memory was still fresh.

Not getting as much personal studio time
since my hubby's surgery.
He is doing fine...its me who worries!

Hope you are all well and happy
and I want you all to keep that way.
Sending Blessings and thank you for
following my blog.

    1. Hi Jane, I cut down the intensity but in life it is beyond what paint can replicate.

  3. The sky color is a cerulean mix? The colors make me salivate......

    1. I do not have cerulean on my palette so it is a base of thalo blue.I place a tad of yellow in it as it goes towards the horizon. The top I add a wee bit of ultramarine.

  4. This is glorious, Julie, and it's delightful that you've found a moment to paint "for yourself." I'm awfully pleased to hear that your dear hubby is doing fine, but the two of you have had a dreadful knocking-about. Even though you're on a more even keel now, I would think it only natural it's difficult to turn your thoughts and energies entirely to painting. Send warmest hugs your way, dear talented friend!
