So Delightful...and calming!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sue, and thank you for sharing my work so generously.
DeleteThis is lovely, perfectly fresh and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like the word fresh - thank you, Celia.
DeleteYour drooping sunflower has such a wonderful relaxed
feel to it making great negative spaces.
I missed the last post in which you told of the computer problems - glad you got them fixed.
ReplyDeleteBoth the Sunrise and Spring Run-off are superfantasticoloically-gorgeous. I love looking at them as they appear on screen then clicking on them to enlarge; back and fro. It's like looking at them from afar and then close up; in doing so you move through that magic barrier that separates a complete 'picture' from a close look at the 'brush' strokes.
I really enjoyed seeing the different areas of your studio, John.
DeleteThat giant glass table/palette is especially brilliant!
Thanks for the neat description of looking at my painting. Beaming here in New Mexico!
So glad to hear about your computer fix! I've been thinking of you, and how much precious time we spend on these frustrations... Loved the sunrise and this beautiful piece as well. My husband and I will be traveling from Maine to your beautiful state in April and can't wait to see some of these sights, so different from our neck of the woods! Thank you for all that you share Julie, you and your work are inspirational. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Shelley - I loved your lovely rose and may I say thank you for including me on your new post with such a lovely complement - and for introducing me to the work of two other wonderful artists.
DeleteIf you come my way I sure hope you get in touch.
Lovely painting and so glad things are running smoothly!
ReplyDeleteI am happy too. The computer always takes a lot of precious time but this last ordeal was five times longer to get through the comments.
DeleteCongratulations on helping raise money for the animals. So worth while.
I think I can hear the bubbling stream, the birds! Awesome painting, Julie!
ReplyDeleteAnd your computer problem is fixed? Happy days!!!
Happy Days indeed. Thanks Chris,
DeleteI enjoyed seeing the Lion batik you painted and reading the words of Mark Twain. He said it perfectly.
Beautiful action in this striking painting with the flow of the water and the delicate leaves on the trees that must flutter at the slightest breeze. The work is not just a visual pleasure, but an auditory one, too, because my mind always HEARS the rushing water as I take in the visual pageant.
ReplyDeleteLove your comment and sharing - thanks, dear friend.
DeleteHope you are back to doing more of your regular routines.
I look at this painting and also hear the rippling water. Beautifully done Julie.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Blanche, I am delighted you like it. I feel the same way about your new painting of the apple - the color harmony is beautiful.
DeleteSo abstract - and yet immediately recognizable. Did I ever tell you that I love your work?!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have made my day - thanks so much Susan.
DeleteWish I could paint like you. Especially the wonderful way you paint all animals. Your hound painting is so fabulous.
