  1. I probably have a faulty memory but I am not sure whether I have ever seen a white tulip.

    1. Understandable that you have not seen them, David, because birds do not carry them in their beaks!!
Anyone who know the avian world like you do is excused from not seeing them.

Lots of brides use them in their bouquet, and my mother would "force grow" them to use at Christmas.

  2. Lovely white tulips with all their hidden colors. The only thing I have seen in bloom so far are crocuses and I did sketch them.

    1. You enjoy buildings and structure, Joan. URBAN!!
I go for flowers first then structure. The important thing is we both paint what we love.

    2. That's the good thing about art. We don't have to paint the same subject and can switch any time to other things we love too.

    1. Hope you try flowers, Padmaja. Like anything we paint - our heart must be in it.

  4. Good for you! I haven't painted Spring flowers yet, but went to a garden store that just had a large, new delivery of amazing Gerbera daisies, Ranunculus, Snapdragons, et al. So, I bought several and promised myself that I WILL paint at least one of them. Don't you just love flower shopping? Kind of a joyous Zen thing. Your tulips are stunning! Love the mingling colors of the tulips and the way the light hits the tips of the petals!

    1. Hi Carol - I was at the garden store too and my heart was beating so fast I almost stop breathing. Glorious!
      Hope you try some.

  5. These are glorious, Julie. You've sculpted the forms so beautifully three-dimensionally and I love all the colors you've found in the white! No flowers here yet. My garden is still snow covered, but an intrepid chipmunk showed up yesterday...so, it can't be long now till crocus appear🤞.

    1. Hard to imagine snow still on the ground while the leaves are out on the trees, birds mating and flowers blooming. Your turn for pleasure will be when it is so hot here that the flowers need shade and air conditioning is a must. Every place has its pleasures in its own time.
