First Snow Along the River
6x9in oil on linen mounted. $125. SOLD
This is full of subtle color changes, I say subtle because after
painting along the river in full autumn glory, this appears rather
dull by comparison. Dull it is not though because as I mix
the colors I find all the beautiful neutrals. Blues, lavenders,
golds and rusts and it has a oncoming winter glory of its own.
The next change will be after the wind comes along and
whips off all the dead leaves from the trees, and the wonderful
skeleton of the tree shapes will create a dramatic, dark punch.
