The fox came back and is now a regular visitor.
He is looking at himself in the window reflection. (click on image)
He rests his head on the ledge, grooms himself,
and then looks at himself again. I wonder if he thinks
there is another fox in front of him. I say "him",
but have not seen the usual sign of a male! Too much fur.
It has been amazing and wonderful for Jim and myself
to have the opportunity to get so close.
We wouldn't be so happy if we had chickens...
and Little Red Riding Hood does come to mind
when I look at that sharp nose.
I think he wants to come in the house and sleep on the sofa! fantastic photos!!
ReplyDeleteI'd probably be dumb enough to try to make friends with him. Probably not the best idea. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a little charmer he is ! Love your photos, Julie.
ReplyDeleteOh, how wonderful that he is so comfortable and so close! Amazing photos and he is just darling! I think we may see him in a painting one day soon!
ReplyDeletewow! It is like your very own episode of National Geographic right outside your own window! What a special treat!
ReplyDeleteI have such a heart for foxes. We used to see a pair of them on my work grounds but I haven't seen them now for almost a year. I often wonder about them and hope they are ok. This little one is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that! Did you take all these photos on the same day or does he come to that same area every time?
ReplyDeleteVery neat to be able to observe wildlife from the comfort of your home.
He/she is adorable. Glad he's found a safe place to snooze.
ReplyDeleteOh, he is a handsome one.
ReplyDeleteHe's such a gorgeous little example of what nature creates. How can you resist (painting him, feeding him, naming him)?!
ReplyDeleteOf all your meetings, dear Julie, this is the most relaxing!
ReplyDeleteThat special look has the fox, while you're shooting!
She knew that she would have been around the world in the blogosphere!?
There is a beautiful light , while the world is gray out here!!!
He is DEFINITELY a painting looking for a place to happen! And I think he has just found that place, camped in front of an artist's window such as yourself, Julie!! Portrait time!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a rare treat! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAmazing that the little fellow is so willing to be close to a human habitation. gorgeous creature. thank you for sharing your photos. now I want to see a painting. I am sure you will do some fab stuff with this sweet animal.
ReplyDeleteHow fortunate you are, Julie, to experience this beautiful creature up close. He seems very content there in the sun.
ReplyDeleteI kind of agree with the not being friends, but he is so foxy! If you are interested in some additional art supplies, I have a giveaway going over on my blog ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnimals, especially wild ones don't chose easily. They come when the feel safety and comfort. You, Julie must give that feeling. It sure comes across in your blog.
ReplyDeleteDear Julie - these photos are super - we have foxes here but they are usually nocturnal which surprises me he gets that close to the house and comes during the day. This is wonderful that you can see him that close up. Take care and have a wonderful week-end.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great photos! Beautiful! My granddaughter would insist it's a GIRL fox.
ReplyDeleteAdorable, hard to believe he could cause any trouble!
ReplyDeleteThis little guy looks very happy and must feel very safe near your window. Animals can sense and are attracted to kind people. They can feel your heart! Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteHe (or she)is so beautiful. Probably trying to get warmed up. And I always wonder about them looking at themselves in a mirror or window. I wonder what they think?
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, Julie. How beautiful is he!! he looks very comfortable staying close to your house!!! thanks for sharing these amazing pictures!!
ReplyDeleteVery strange behaviour for a fox. I hate to be a downer but I would be worried that it might have rabies.
ReplyDeleteHello Julie:) Can't you keep him as a pet? He's so adorable! Lovely pictures:)
