I am loving all the different blues going on in the left and bottom of the painting...and of course your blue gate/shutters. A definite Julie Ford Oliver work of art.
ReplyDeleteCan I come stay in New Mexico for a while...at least until it warms up here? Brrrrrr.
Beautiful!!! It's cold here and still snowing! Yikes! i want to live in this painting! :D
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! Love the colors, lively yet very well balanced. The fracturing technique works so well with this image.
ReplyDeleteYep! nice painting...AGAIN !
ReplyDeleteIt must be a feast for anyone's eyes, so is your painting!
ReplyDeleteThe moment we are all waiting for here...gorgeous piece, and with the blue shutters and fence it looks so cosy.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color indeed!! We're still getting teen temps here. Only sign of spring so far is that I'm seeing the robins back and the red winged blackbird.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blossoms and of course the turquoise shutters and doors that I love so much! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteOur trees here all all blossoming: ornamental fruits as well as oak trees are all excited to get going. Very pretty:)
So many beautiful colors in New Mexico! Looking out my window right now I see Greys..LOL. Gorgeous painting, Julie!!!
ReplyDeleteJulie - the colors draw me in...it looks like a turquoise blue you used which immediately captures my eye. Now please get busy and send me some of that lovely spring you are enjoying...I need some badly. God bless!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, as always!
ReplyDeleteI ended up getting three fracturing tools. They're just sitting on my table, staring at me, lol!
Lovely Julie. Spring is here also. I can feel the texture of the house, enjoy the brightness of your spring colors. Love the shutters and gate.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting Julie! I love the color combination. It must be so beautiful there this time of year! I also saw your painting the other day on Facebook of the sink. That was gorgeous! Enjoy your beautiful scenery. I need to get out and capture the blossoms around here before they're gone. I'm still waiting for the dogwoods though; they don't bloom until May.
ReplyDeleteBack from a two day trip, just in time to take a peak into someone's garden. Love the colors and the color blocking that the house etc. does.
ReplyDeleteAnother beauty Julie...those blues are gorgeous and I love that tree full of blossoms!! Still haven't tries your fracturing technique...have the tools though. Too busy drawing lately! We are in Autumn here, pretty but not as nice as spring looks in New Mexico!!
ReplyDeleteReally wonderful painting, Julie, the colours are uplifting at a time when, in the third day of Spring, there is a blizzard raging outside! Manchester is vanishing under a white blanket on the other side of the Pennines and its getting worse!
ReplyDeleteLoved the Demo posting beneath, it makes it all seem possible!! Would it work in Acrylics ..? I have just been presented with a bagful of them!
What wonderful color! We are just now getting some tiny signs of spring here in north Idaho. Your painting is a wonderful glimpse into the future for me. I hope I can have patience for seeing the trees and flowers in bloom here... it will be a while!
ReplyDeleteYour a wizard with color, Julie!
ReplyDeleteWonderful colour combination. I like your paintings. Really nice.
