Artist Note.
In an effort to be broader
in my painting subjects, I am
hoping to enter DAILY PAINTWORKS

Carol Marine has chosen
Critters
as the theme this week.

I admit to having to look up what
defined a critter!
A pleasure to participate.

    1. Nice we agree. I will be seeing a critter by you - maybe!
I also like your eucalyptus tree. Such a beautiful gray color.

  2. This is so adorable! I like the circular movement of the bright green leaves that create a cozy "nest" for your critter.

    1. If this little guy had not moved I would never have seen him. I thinned out the leaves somewhat.
It was neat to see your gorgeous fox - such a treat. I love foxes.

  3. The DPW challenge is a great incentive and I enjoy seeing how everyone interprets a common theme. Your window, in the previous post, is a beautiful burst of color! He almost feels like he will jump from the branch any moment. Beautiful sense of motion!

    1. I actually laughed at the juxtaposition of the window painting and this one. Color and sunshine to spring rain! both painted from my own photos and memory.
Celia - you are doing a wonderful job with your EDM. You have made the the common place object into art.

  6. Bonjour chère amie,

J'aime la capture de ce grand gourmand qui ne se préoccupe que de son repas !...
On sent parfaitement que l'arbre lui appartient. Une très belle peinture.

    1. That is the idea of the Challenge - different subject matter... so hurrah - it is working. I paint more cautiously when I paint a new subject and it takes me quite a few canvases to loosen up. If I did this every day for a week it would look completely different.
Hope you are enjoying what you are doing..
