No painting today, just a...

No painting today but thought I would show how hot it still is here

Our dog on the air conditioning vent
and walking on the desert with us.

She is a Blue Heeler and the smartest dog ever!

My grandchildren are on the way here as I type this
and
I am wondering how Kat, who is now 12 years old,
will be with a 4 and 7 year old.
Stay tuned.

  1. Hello Julie:)I assume that KAT is the name of a cat:) In any case: poor animal. Of course, there must be equally be drawn by the little ones at the tail. Where is the tail else for?
    Fine day!

    1. This Blue Heeler is a cattle herding breed and has no tail - presumably to prevent the cows from biting at it. It has been very handy having a dog whose tail would knock stuff off the coffee table.

  2. Dear Julie as I understand your dog!!!
I live in northern Italy, but a bubble of air from Africa (say meteorologists ...) from June makes us live ... as in Africa! Do not rain for months! This is very inusual, here!

    1. The best things about no rain (here) are no fleas or mosquitoes but we need the water.
      Hope you get moisture soon.

    1. Yes Kat is the name. Raised with cats - he adopted their habits and still licks his paw and washes his ears!
I am enjoying the kids, Worn out already. Came back from the studio to build a fort ( with a sari) and play cowboys!

    1. Not sure about the mix but her papers say Blue Heeler Australian so it sounds the same.
      Cooler today - hurrah!
      Thanks for the comment Libby.

  5. What fun you have in store for you. Grand children are such a delight. Your dog could be jealous. The older they get the less tolerant of squealing, laughing, running, commotion. Our dog growled when he had had enough--sounded a lot like me:)
