Cyclamen from a Friend

Cyclamen from a Friend

8x8in oil on canvas. $150. SOLD

Still having problems so I am using a different computer
and internet carrier.
It is hard for me to imagine that only a few
years ago, if the computer had trouble it was no
big deal. How things change...I swear I went into
withdrawals!
I did use my phone to visit blogs and would leave comments,
but apparently it was also a hit or miss situation.
Some connected and others didn't. Weird
Thanks to those of you who emailed to let me know they
missed my blog. Nice!

Artist Note.

The second workshop took place with another great group
of artists. The photos I took of their work are lost
somewhere in the computerland cloud. Some really exciting
steps were taken and I know none of them will ever paint
exactly the same way they did before the workshop.

This was a demo I started on the last day. It is larger than
my usual offering on this blog but can crop down to this size.
I think it is the first time I have painted a cyclamen.
I popped it into the little red basket and it was perfect to paint.
I really enjoyed it. Thank you, Karen.

  1. oh when I had computer problems I felt very weird for days on end. I had to read paper magazines and felt like I was on Little House on the Prairie or something. I LOVE this painting. Those colors are luscious!

  6. What a delight to see you back in my inbox Julie! Lovely painting and want to hear and see more about your workshops. While living in Spain I was in the dark with my internet for about 45 days. Felt like I'd fallen off the earth, since I don't watch TV. I feel your pain!

  10. Oh my gosh, Julie!!! The perfect painting for the Season. Gorgeous piece! I hope you get your computer to work soon...we REALLY miss you. I think my husband would have to put me away if I didn't have my computer and yet, if something goes wrong with it, I don't know enough to fix it on my own...
