Nest With Three Eggs
5 x 7 in watercolor on Yupo paper
NFS
Another piece painted in the car.
The road bumps can be very handy!
How about this nest below?
Small snake OR big egg!!!
It was forwarded to me but I have no name to pass on for credit
Ah Julie - I love your painted nest but you can have the other one...snakes are definitely not on my well-loved list (LOL)! You are doing lovely work on Yupo. Naturally I am drawn to those bird's nests. Take care and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful Yupo piece. I love all the colors included in the rendering of the nest. They go so nicely with the blue background. Again the textures you create in your work with this surface are fascinating! They add another mesmerizing quality.
ReplyDeleteYour work continues to astound me, Julie!
ReplyDeleteYou created such great depth. Good job. No comment on the other!
ReplyDeleteLovely, Yupo is such a challenge, really impressive work Julie :) and so nice to see your birds nests again, I am really enjoying them.
ReplyDeleteYou excel at painting many subjects, but your nests are always special! Love this one minus the snake- yikes!
ReplyDeleteLove the nest painting, stopped me in my tracks!
ReplyDeleteOh...three babies to be in your nest! I love it. There is a cozy warmth to the inside of the nest that makes me want to curl up in it myself! As to the snake...yikes! Is his head resting on that egg or is his mouth open to eat it whole? Yikes!
ReplyDeleteI could never get tired of your nest paintings, Julie!!! Beautifully painted!!!
ReplyDeleteand what a photo of the snake around the egg!!! I guess we know what's for lunch!
A strong contrast between the tender nest of your beautiful painting and the nest with egg and snake!
ReplyDeleteHow many ancestral symbols speak to us through these signs (nest egg and snake).
The picture creates a reaction in me ... I run away!
But you are very brave in front of these surprises, dear Julie and I remember other posts written by you, with images and situations that would give me a heart attack! You are a great artist and a woman of great courage!
Love your painting Julie, the photo...not so much.
ReplyDeletelovely nest painting! I really LOVE My Julie Ford Oliver nest painting (that I won on your blog!) I am a lucky person for sure!
ReplyDeleteI like your very wonderful painting Julie but not your photo with the egg and snake !!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice spring weekend !!!
Yikes! Big snake.
ReplyDeleteI love all of these nest series-the last one in particular but I really like this one also. Another productive time in the car:)
I have yet to paint in my car. That's amazing. If there's bumps in there, they fit right it. Your nest paintings are outstanding. The subject is an unusual one for me; no fascination there. But your paintings of them do fascinate; they speak of potential life. Then again, I like the snake in the next photo too. That's life too. All God's Children have to eat!
ReplyDeletei'm heading out to paint in the car on a bumpy road right now if i can get this result!! OUTSTANDING WORK AS ALWAYS!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful painting, Julie!! Interest throughout...not a centimeter wasted!
ReplyDeleteRe the snake...Wow! that looks painful. What away to eat.
You really captured the texture of the next superbly. Amazing work
ReplyDeleteThe nest paintings are simply magical, Julie!
