Anemones
9" x 8 1/2" oil on canvas panel $225. SOLD
Artist Note.
This is a weird size and
I cannot think how
to crop it in any other way -
so this is it!
This one was fun for me because
I can see all the colors much
better, and, as you know...
I love color!
Regarding my computer woes,
(see the previous post)
they were fixed with
a complete close-down.
I had to download everything
onto a hard-drive and then
install them again.
The IPad was then able
to get caught up with
redoing settings after getting rid
of cookie cache and re-setting
Passwords and Accounts.
Not easy and very frustrating
for this computer challenged gal!
Thanks for all the hints
and support from you guys.
Jennifer hit it right.😊
It's a lovely painting. So glad the computer stuff is fixed!
ReplyDeleteHappy you like the painting, Debra. Thanks. Yes, I am glad the computer woes are over...till they strike again!
DeleteCuriosity is ongoing over your special find - what will you do? Staying tuned!
This is so lovely!!! I tried following your advice about the iPad but couldn't find what you told me to do. I did do something to somehow install another version of blogger on the iPad. I did a test and was able to post, so maybe (fingers crossed) that will solve the problem when I am away. But I did notice that the photo I was trying to post was larger than the margins. I'll have to play around with it a bit more. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, good to know you eventually managed to get it to work. Can you resize the image? Mine is set to medium
DeleteI enjoyed the variety on your blog from sketches to A Inks. Busy, busy gal!
Gorgeous Anemones , light and background ! Computer stuff...what a drag ! In my opinion some things just have to work...ALWAYS ! ! LOL
ReplyDeleteAlways good to hear from you, dear, Jane. Thank you.
DeleteI agree with you regarding "expectations." Yes, they should work perfectly ALL the time! Then I see people hitting vending machines...my hubby with remote cursing the TV...nah...it would put the repair people out of business.
Love your clown abstract. Rich color and texture. Hope you do more.
You certainly have Mastered the fracturing technique Julie. This is absolutely beautiful...full of color and amazing texture!!! I'm glad you fixed your computer.. I would've never been able to figure it out!!! Lol
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hilda. I really liked this one too so was very pleased when I found it was going to someone who has several of my paintings.
DeleteYour remarkable "laughing" portrait is truly amazing. Gold star!
Julie your impressionistic brush strokes just capture the essence of these anemones perfectly. I enlarged it on my screen so I could view it closer...the colors are breathtaking and I love the beautiful blue ginger jar vase and how you mirrored those colors in some of the blossoms. It is always such a treat to view your art friend. Hope you have a blessed week. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful comment. Thanks so much, my friend. Yes, following the principle of repeating color. The jar is a well used one and I could paint it blindfolded.
DeleteThank you for such a caring post this week. Prayers for a more peaceful world too.
Glad you’re up and running again. I love how dramatic this painting is! Your grays make it glow with life!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bruce - yes, it is good to be able to truly see colors again.
DeleteI have totally enjoyed following your painting trip to Canada, Wonderful paintings came out of it.
I love the light in this one Julie. So beautiful.
ReplyDeletethank you, Jean. I enjoyed your post about your new studio space. Congratulations...and welcome to Main Street!
DeleteThis is simply lovely, Julie. The anemones look soft and velvety, but I especially admire how you painted the vase; I feel as if I could reach in and pick it up. You handle ceramic surfaces so well. (Your painting "Favorite Things" is one outstanding example that I admire, but there are so many!)
ReplyDeleteFancy that - you remembering Favorite Things!
DeleteHappy your very discerning eye likes this one. I do too and I think it is because I am back to seeing well again. Those cataracts do weird things to an artists vision.
Any more Gracie type paintings coming along? I loved her!
computers are great when they are working, you want to chuck them off the roof when they are not though :p
ReplyDeletehopefully thats the end of the problems
so much lovely colour in this :D my favouritism flower, but oddly we only have purple ones in the garden
You have purple ones? LUCKY you!
DeleteLaughed at, chuck them off the roof!
Great deer drawing on your post today
I want to chuck my laptop off the roof once it has died just to see what happens lol
Deleteyeah they are a very nice purple/blue colour, very pretty :)
So beautiful Julie... Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteI return the complement about colors. Your trees are so beautifully painting with all the shade and sunlight colors. The scarecrow blends in beautifully .
DeleteVery wonderful flower painting !!!
