Mint, Lime and Peach!

Mint, Lime and Peach!

6x6in   oil on canvas board  $100.

Day 23 in the 30 in 30 Days Challenge
My personal goal for this challenge - to paint only
what I have never painted or thought of painting before.

Panic today,  what to paint?
I am having to resort to restroom stuff for the Challenge.
Love the juxtaposition of the colors in this one.
This is from the studio and consists of mint  mouthwash,
cups, lime hand cream and peach soap.

Artist Note.

I painted for a couple of hours on another piece only to wipe
it all off. Feel my pain?

Still learning Windows 8. Frustrating. Lots to learn!

I do appreciate you visiting my blog and thank you.

  1. I recognize both the subject and the feeling of "what to paint?". You did it beautiful today and I like the connection with the blue background, feel like sea/bath etc.

  2. I feel more of the pain of trying to adjust to Windows 8 because I'm still cursing under my breath at Win 7! Checking in each day to see what you've chosen to paint has been a totally enjoyable way to start my day.

    1. What a lovely thing to say Lauren - thank you.
Yes, the computers are so difficult, but I feel I am really going to like the W8 better than anything before it. It is so much like my phone and I have got used to that.

  3. That 'what to paint' has to be something I really think way ahead on..but - lately - they mine are 'wipers' too. I think the bright pastels colors in this one are very appealing! Paint on!

    1. Thanks Pattie and I love your animals. You are right it would have been easier to plan ahead, but
I cannot because I wanted this to be a challenge of responding to new subject matter as I found it. Just a personal thing, but if I took the time to organize and plan it would be more like how I normally do it. This way it has lived up to its name of a CHALLENGE!.

  6. Yes, I feel your pain. Today, yesterday and the day before! I love the subject matter and you've done a wonderful job with it. I really like to see subjects that aren't particularly beautiful by themselves and often overlooked, come together in a painting that catches my attention and makes me say WOW! I feel like I can grab the cups and I actually smell the aromas of mint and peach!
