What do I paint for someone who loves realism?
Why, something I love to paint, of course,
but with more detail than usual.
A month or so ago
a friend's husband went WAY out of his way
when I was experiencing a rather painful
situation, and he donned a Knight's
attire and rode to my rescue.
Bless you, Wiley, and thank you.
Artist Note.
My hijacked email account was apparently
one which has been around
a while. It made me very upset and hope
everyone changed their password
IF
they opened it.
Thank you to those of you who quickly
let me know about how to deal with it.
It was my first experience with one.
A friend expressed the desire to
super glue together
the fingers of the hacker.
Loved that thought!
You really outdid yourself!
ReplyDeleteThis is a super sweet gift.
He did really like it and I know he was sincere. Thanks, Sue.
DeleteLove your new heart ornament. A heart within a heart.
I'll hold them down while the super glue goes on Julie!!! wow! I felt so evil saying this! lol....but they really deserve it.
ReplyDeleteThis painting is realistic and beautiful, Julie! The nest is fantastic as well as this lovely bird!!!
So FUNNY ...thanks for the visual, Hilda. You are the BEST!
DeleteYour friend is so fortunate! This is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI would be happy to super glue your villain but maybe a hot glue gun might match the pain better...I am not usually mean spirited but these people are thieves who make life miserable! Ugh!
ha, ha...hot glue, I LOVE it! Thanks for the supportive feelings.
DeleteYour challenge painting of the trucks is simply fabulous.
They are criminals: thieves and fraudsters. The world is full of them. Don't let the situation distress you, Julie, they are not worth the effort
ReplyDeleteI just love the bird (splendid gift) and the Thanksgiving Pitcher is absolutly stunning
Glad you liked it. Thanks, John.
DeleteYour post on your new spot in Wales was great and the photo beautiful.
I also like Joan's work so was pleased to see your link...and I did.
Glad you reminded me to change password, Julie. I hadn't even thought about that. This painting is so lovely and I am so thankful that we have friends in this life that are our knights in shining armor. We all need that occasionally. I hope I've been able to be that for someone at some point myself.
ReplyDeleteLOVE seeing your new and pretty photo, Sherry.
DeleteYou make me wish my hair wasn't gray. You have been I know - you have a heart of gold and it shines through.
What a beautiful (and thoughtful) gift. I looked closely and love the little bits of white that can be seen.
ReplyDeleteHackers are pretty bad. Not sure what that mentality is all about but glad that you got your email straightened out.
Hi Libby, thanks for the supportive words on the hijack. I was told there was a difference between the level of hacker and a hijacked email. Very unpleasant experience.
DeleteYou had a good month... continuing painting with your exploration of the palette knife.
This is a super sweet gift. I love the grays--always loved the grays. Muted colors seem more sophisticated to me, I don't know why. Nature painting is a challenge. It's got to be right. You need a great job that's not easy. The recipient will be thrilled.
ReplyDeleteI, too, think the taupes and grays provide a restful place to rest the eyes , BUT I also think brighter colors remind me of the tropical playgrounds of the mind. Growing up I never saw bright colors unless on vacation. An association which also makes me happy.
DeleteYour beautiful drawing of the pets show more of your amazing versatility.
The painting is beautiful,Julie! I love the delicate color palette. It will make your friend very happy!
ReplyDeleteOne feels helpless when these things happen.
thanks Celia, and I loved your delicate shade of pink undewash in your still life painting. beautiful!
DeleteThis is such a beautiful painting. Truly seems heartfelt.
ReplyDeleteThank you Melle. It was heartfelt. I collect nests and paint them when stressed to bring me back to peace.
DeleteYour still life painting is lovely but your words on LOVE provided a real heartfelt response.
Oh Julie - I love your realism - this is awesome and I know your friend is going to love this painting. Don't feel bad friend - I had the same thing happen to me about six weeks ago. Wish these folks would find something good to do for someone instead of causing problems for others. Take care and have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteAs always, you are great at saying just the right thing. Sorry it happened to you too.
DeleteI enjoyed seeing your post about visiting the amazing Dickens Victorian Village exhibit in Cambridge, Ohio. I would love to see it.
Enjoy your week. Hope it is special.

ReplyDeleteThanks, my dear Padmaja, I know you must have many true friends. We are blessed.
DeleteWhat a precious bird you painted, Julie. I just know Wiley loved it. What kind of bird is that?
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got your hacker situation taken care of. Don't you just wish all bad people would just go away?
I bet your friend was thrilled with this painting Julie! I spotted a bird's nest on the ground the other day and immediately thought of you. I doubt it would get through customs if I tried to send it to you, so I will photograph it for you - gum leaves and all!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. No idea how you did it.I am sure I love this.Really, really.
ReplyDeleteThis is totally stunning, what a fabulous gift !
