Freesia and Turquoise

Freesia  and Turquoise

6x6in oil on canvas panel  $100. SOLD

This beautiful little vase was handmade in Japan and I have painted it a lot.
The glaze turns from Turquoise into a deep cobalt which seems to float
on top of a rich brown glaze. There is no way I can capture it with paint.
It is fun trying though!

    1. Thanks, Maga. You cannot live here in the Southwest without being influenced by turquoise as it is all around us. Doorways, windows, jewelry, clothing. It is also my birth stone.
