Turquoise and Peonies Squared!
Turquoise and Peonies Squared.
6x6in oil on canvas panel $100.
I really love this color combination. Red is my favorite color
but turquoise has to be next.
Artist Note.
A fellow artist challenged me to see if I could
fit my turquoise vase into a square format.
I had to make it a bit shorter with no foreground
and take one of the flowers up to the top.
The square is very popular with artists
because it is perfect for the contemporary still life.

ReplyDeleteYour comments are always positive and I really do appreciate you for taking the time. Thanks Helen
DeleteSquare formats are challenging, but you handled that mid point that occurs naturally I think very well with the placement of the highlight on the vase. Turquoise and pinks are beautiful. To me very Caribbean, very summer, very warm, lovely weather.
ReplyDeleteCaribbean - that brings back lovely, but forgotten memories.
