Young Trees ll

Young Trees ll

6x8in oil on canvas board  $125.

This is from a photo I took in the spring of these lovely young trees
growing by a dry stream bed at the base of our local mountains.
When the monsoons start next month, the stream will become alive
with nourishment for them...just in time.

    1. Thanks Hilda. I was trying to push the colors. Fun to try. At the moment everything is pretty brown and I feel the urge to resist it.

  2. Nice surprise. I love how you keep things so structured, so full of details, but it feels so simple.

  3. I have to second Roger's response. It is structured and still simple; it has a very "mysterious-deep-woods" feeling to it.

  5. I really enjoy how you use your blues and purples. This one has an ethereal fantasy feel, that's tempered perfectly by the sunlight.

    1. Thanks - as you can see I try to push color but not in a wild way.

  6. Mysterious for sure. Love the purple and the play of light. And also, a nice change of subject matter. Sometimes that is so refreshing.
