The Perfect Couple
The Perfect Couple
6x6in oil on canvas panel SOLD
Red is very hard to photograph and I had to work hard at this one
because my first efforts were way too bright.
I did learn a something though... never paint a red teapot on a day when company
is due to arrive!
I am a painter living in Las Cruces, NM. After many years as an illustrator I turned to fine art to develop my own artistic voice. I currently teach talented and enthusiastic artists in oil, acrylic and egg tempera painting. I am also a member of the Artist Guild of Southern New Mexico.

OK, I'll bite...why not paint a red tea pot on a company day? I LOVE your tea pot...makes me want to have tea. Earl Grey.
ReplyDeleteYour tool saved my bacon today. Thank you again. Have I said thank you? Well thank you :)
Enjoy the weekend!
A wonderful painting. Love all that heavy paint and a sweet subject. Did you have red paint all over you when your company arrived? lol
ReplyDeleteThank you Barbara, yes - over me and the camera!
DeleteLol - because it took longer to adjust the red for the photo than the painting!
ReplyDeleteLove your new piece Lisa.
