Fruit Bowl
Fruit Bowl
6x6in oil on canvas board $100. SOLD
I enjoyed all the colors yesterday so today I rearranged all the parts...
on a smaller "square" no less!
Going for another one tomorrow.
Artist Note.
Working within a square worked best when I lowered my viewpoint
and placed a knife and leaf at an angle to offset the horizontal
lines..

Hello,Julie! So brilliant your reposition of the elements! Another work with its fresh and unique charme!
ReplyDeleteI love the word 'reposition' and forget to use it. Glad you like this one. Thanks, Rita.
Deleteoh wow yes this is even better!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon. Love your reds in your poppy! Now that is a WOW!
DeleteBeautiful piece, Julie, and a wonderful composition!
ReplyDeleteYou are great - thanks Carol. Your composition with the palm tree was wonderful too.
DeleteBeautiful painting Julie!! Love the colors and arrangement.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you like it. Colors and arrangement are two areas you excel in.
DeleteThat is a particularly effective arrangement and as always the colors are brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThe arranging is a favorite part of the painting for me. Libby. I use my handy tool to take off complete areas if it doesn't 'feel' right. Thanks for the visit.
DeleteJulie, Every day I admire your beautiful paintings wishing to be more like you. Your work is awesome.
ReplyDeleteHi Angela - you have a lovely style going yourself and I loved your fruit and bowl too. Thank you for the lovely complement.
DeleteI love how you can make such a complex composition, with lot of details and structures without it looking like a mess. Very nice indeed.
ReplyDeleteIt is an important area and I really appreciate you noticing it, Roger. I find you, also, are able to have a full composition and still have a rhythmic flow around it.
DeleteI really enjoy your work. I think of all of them? This is my favorite so far. You are an outstanding painter!
ReplyDeleteThank you T.J. and so are YOU!
ReplyDeleteI love your rich reds, pinks, and oranges in this painting Julie. Especially how the spots of color relate in the back grouping of peaches and cherries! That spot of pink is delicious!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen, I know you like to push color too.
Deletefantastic work! well done J
ReplyDeleteThis is so wonderful and juicy! I love everything about it!
