Mixed Fruit

Mixed Fruit.

8x6in oil on canvas panel
THIS PAINTING HAS HAD A CHANGE - see 7/19/12

This is the last of my fruit paintings... for a while.
I have enjoyed working with the shapes and colors
but the yellow roses are starting to droop and I need to
finish the one I have started.
Painting walls in my new teaching space tomorrow
so may not have time for a blog. Stay tuned!

  2. Love the term round-y shapes but that is exactly what I have enjoyed about the bowl and fruit. They create great negative shapes between them. Thanks, Mary

    1. Thanks - I like the colors so much. I think it works because of the grays of the dishes.

  8. You finished up big Julie. I love the repeating layers of blue. You do have a knack for still life set ups that are energetic. Fresh paint on the walls is inspirational. Have fun tomorrow.

    1. Thanks mucho. I do not know what you are going to make of the changes I did to it when I returned from painting walls today.
It was fine as it was but I could not let it be.
Feeling better about it now. Do you make changes after you have finished?
