On the Edge
On the Edge
6x8in oil on canvas panel 100.
We have all seen this...a thriving tree right on the edge of a cliff,
growing out of what appears to be solid rock.
I can plant seeds with tender care into perfect soil...
only to see some survive better than others.
Weeds leap out of places where there has been no water.
Mother Nature continues to astound.
I am a painter living in Las Cruces, NM. After many years as an illustrator I turned to fine art to develop my own artistic voice. I currently teach talented and enthusiastic artists in oil, acrylic and egg tempera painting. I am also a member of the Artist Guild of Southern New Mexico.

Your brushstrokes are so rich and luscious, and your hand seems to be totally free in applying the colors, so much skill!
ReplyDeleteTrees have a lot of character; some are survivors more than others, rather like people. Love your colors here ! Beautiful.
