Nap Time
8x6in oil on canvas panel $125. SOLD
Day 15
This is my Grandcat. He is not longer
with us but left us with many happy memories.
This chair has a woven seat,
and sometimes, when he jumped up on the
chair, his legs would go right through.
It was hysterical because he would
still nap with a couple of his legs hanging
through. After a while he learned to
jump on the chest next to it, and
carefully step down.

Bonjour chère amie,
ReplyDeleteJe crois que cette peinture est celle que je préfère dans la série des "chaises". J'aime la présence de votre Grandcat. Il apporte une âme et la lumière qui illumine vos couleurs est extraordinaire. Travail sublime.
Gros bisous ♡
I love the cat in this painting! A WOW!
DeleteGreat shapes Julie. All kinds of contrasting angles. Makes an interesting setting for your grandcat.

ReplyDeleteHave a nice and creative day Julie !!!
My hat goes off to all those taking part in this challenge. One day I will get around to it myself. Meanwhile I am enjoying looking at everyone else's. This really is great! I love the colours and texture of the paint :0)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous painting but I adore that chair!! Poor kitty; they do figure things out though, don't they?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors and super perspective, Julie! Love the knife and brushwork!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Helen! It's your handling of the negative spaces that intrigues me ... And your Grandcat!
ReplyDeleteA delightful painting, Julie. You have so many little areas that are gems of excellence such as where the back rungs of the chair are half in shadow, half in light. I love that transition.
ReplyDeleteYour "grand cat"---what a beauty....and in such a nice turquoise chair! Love it!!
