Christmas Tree on the River
Christmas Tree on the River SOLD
8x6in canvas on board 100.
This is painted from a photograph I took on a trip with my daughter to a place called Silver City, N.M. An historic mining town bordering on the edge of the stunning 3.3 million acre Gila Wilderness. (pronounced Heela)
Silver City has many claims to fame, but three of interest are:
It was once an Apache Indian campsite.
The boyhood home of the notorious gunslinger Billy the Kid.
A silver and copper mining boom-town
For me personally, it is the gateway to the intense natural beauty and solitude of the Gila Wilderness.

This is definitely one of the natural beauties that this wonderful Country of ours has. You painted it beautifully...makes me want to visit it.
