Early Evening Glow
Early Evening Glow.
8x6in oil on canvas board 100.
I often prefer the glow that the setting sun casts on the land to the east. Sometimes, when looking at the sunset it is all about the drama of the sky because everything around it is usually silhouetted.
In this painting, the Organ Mountains here in Las Cruces, N.M. are starting to glow from the sunset reflecting on them. The color does not last long but when it does it is really beautiful.
