Hi Sherry - no they are pencils. They turned liquid with water.I like them a lot. I can see the Southwestern vibe you mentioned. I, of course, had not seen it. Makes sense it is in my subconscious - living where I do. Neat ! You threw me right off track today with you shopping for Christmas gifts. Yikes!
This is very interesting...a side of Julie I am not all that familiar. I like that you explore different supports and share the results. With my upcoming Christmas trip to Norway where it will be dark and twilight, these are the colors I will be seeing and probably using!
Lovely work, Julie! This painting is especially interesting to me because I was thinking of adding a feather recently to a still life I set up. I couldn't find one even though I used to have a bunch. I, who rarely throw anything away, must've discarded them in a rare fit of housekeeping.
I love that you are taking the time to comment and thank you for it. I am sure other readers will enjoy them too. If you cannot comment through this format then email me at juliefordoliver@gmail.com Cheers, Julie
What a gorgeous tonal piece! Is Aquarelle graphite a liquid? I get a Native American vibe from this too...
