Farmers Market #19 - The Melon Man

Farmers Market #19 - The Melon Man

6x8in oil on canvas panel  $125. SOLD.

#4 in 30 day Challenge.

This time the location is here in Las Cruces, NM.

Artist Note.

Really ingenious the way he sells out of the back of his
older pick-up truck. No umbrella for shade, just a white hat.
Love the name Farm Fiddle. A home made sign, but look how
lovingly it has been done - on cardboard no less.

I changed the color of the truck for color harmony.
I moved in a tree up from about 10 feet away

  3. Hmmm...maybe that would be a fun way to sell art...make a cardboard sign that says "Art" and just find a great corner somewhere and there you go! Hee Hee!

Love this painting Julie...the striped shirt is so sweet and there is so much action...you can almost see them picking through the produce trying to find that perfect one.

  6. Farm Fiddle...that is mighty creative as are you. I am glad you included the photo as it shows just how much creativity you use to embellish and add interest to your paintings. The photo wasn't interesting at all! Who would have thought there was a painting there at all?

  9. What comes out for me is how you took that unremarkable picture of a pick-up and used the great energy about him to make such a colorful and beautiful painting. Wow.
